2022 Theme: Redeeming the time
ephesians 5:16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Colossians 4:5 Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.
The theme this year at FAITH Baptist Church is "Redeeming The Time" but what exactly does that mean? Two verses are the theme this year, Ephesians 5:16 and Colossians 4:5. Both verses use the phrase, "redeeming the time." How much time do we have? Each of us have 365 days in 2022. It is a matter how we use those days. It is a matter of how you use those hours.
To "Redeem The Time" is to make those hours profitable. If we are honest, we are time wasters. We waste so much time in endeavors that are unprofitable. My challenge to the church this year is to make 2022 profitable for the Lord. We need to improve on our walk with Him. We need to improve on our relationship with others. We need to grow spiritually in the Word of God. We need to pray. We need to be faithful. All these things are profitable.
We need to redeem the time, because the days ARE evil. There are so many wicked things going on all around us. We need to spend our time, not focusing on the negative, but affecting the positive. Don't become a part of the negative, but affect others with the positive. We need to walk in wisdom towards those that are without and that will help us redeem the time. People need a positive influence in their lives and when we redeem the time, we can be that positive influence. That can affect their eternity. What better way to redeem the time than by showing someone with the Word of God how they could be saved!
There is so much more with in the theme of "Redeeming the Time"
But you will have to come and hear for yourself.
